The AFS System Admin Guide indirectly suggests using the template X
instruction to create additional volumes. The example template file
on page 16-19 includes an X instruction that invokes a script (of
which it doesn't show the actual contents) to mount a public volume in
the /afs/<cell>/public directory. I would think the script could
easily create that volume as well, or you could use the X instruction
to invoke the `vos create' command directly.
I can't address why uss allows only one V instruction per template,
nor whether using an X instruction to create other volumes really
works well, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
