Hello,

i recently encountered an extremely annoying problem in AFS.
Using two clients, i take an arbitrary (text) file >16K to create
a new file on client A, afterwards truncate the file on B, and
recreate the same file on client A:

A% cp <somefile> testfile
B% cp /dev/null testfile
A% cp <somefile> testfile

After this operation, the views of A und B are inconsistent.
Only A sees the correct version of the file, while client B
got the first 16K chunk nulled.

We are using 3.4.patches and SUN workstations running Solaris 2.5.1.

Is this a problem of our installation, or does anyone observe the
same behavior? Are there any patches which solve this problem?

Any help would be appreciated,
  Marcus
