Hello AFS-Admins,

we plan to expand our file server infrastructure in a way that we will install a
Compaq RAID array
7000 or 8000 and connect these array with SCSI or fibre channel to at least two Compaq
server. I
like to install a failsave cluster solution that works in a way that if one file
server crashs the
other file server can serve all partitions and volumes (including the r/w volumes) of
the broken
server.
My questions are:
1) Have anybody experiments (good/bad) with the Raid arrays from DEC/Compaq?
2) Have anybody a failsave solution for a broken file server?

All replies are welcome.

Best regards,

Dirk Oede
