Hi Thorsten
There is a shell-variable you can set in each users e.g .login that will
give the user a warning at the time of login. Don't remember the name of
the variable though. Search AFS manuals and you will find it.
Anyone else that have access to a system and check the name of the variable?
Thanks,
/peo

Subject: Getting expiration date of AFS-password automatically
|Hi,
|using the "kas examine -name $USER" tool, I can get information about
|the time my AFS-password expires. Is it possible to write a script
|which warns me e.g. 1 week before it expires?
|Unfortunately I wasn"t able to pipe anything to kas (like a
|passwordfile used by my cron), so I could not store the information
|automatically at time. Any suggestions?
