Decorum '96 Product Demonstration Center
Transarc Premiers Multi-Platform Distributed Trader Demo

In addition to a host of technical sessions, broad-based product
training, and business-renowned keynote addresses, Decorum '96 hosts a
comprehensive Product Demonstration Center. The Product Demonstration
Center provides you with the opportunity to try out the latest
generation of DCE- and Encina-based products and exchange ideas with
the top client/server vendors who developed them. Decorum '96
sponsors will be on-hand in the Product Demonstration Center to update
you on current product strategies and to hear your requirements for
future releases.

In addition to the wide array of industry vendors, Transarc
Corporation will unveil its exciting, new product demonstration known
as the Transarc Distributed Trader Demo (Trader). Trader highlights
the powerful combination of DCE and Encina in supporting high-volume,
business-critical applications. The demo simulates an actual stock
market trading system where large numbers of stock transactions are
processing efficiently, and with full transactional integrity. Within
this multi-platform environment, effective system management is
achieved through a combination of DCE and Encina tools, including the
DCE Distributed File System (DFS). Decorum attendees can explore the
Trader Demo in three sections: the trading room floor, where six NT
clients will be on display for user input such as executing trades,
getting information about stocks, etc.; the System Administration Area
which highlights Encina Console and DFS at work; and a discussion area
where a large monitor displays system statistics, including system
vload, ticker with stock prices, etc.

The Product Demonstration Center will be open on Wednesday, February
28 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, complete with an opening reception, and
Thursday, Februrary 29 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Be sure to stop by
and take advantage of exploring the Trader Demo and the latest
generation client/server products from vendor organizations that shape
the path for DCE-based products and services.
