DCE Programming I [Hands-On]
Course No. HP301
This class teaches the concepts behind each of the
components of DCE so students gain experience
coding applications that use these components.
Significant class time is devoted to hands-on activities
to reinforce the concepts taught during the lecture.
Fee: $1,200 per enrollee.

DCE Programming II [Hands-On]
Course No. HP302
This course is an extension of DCE Programming I and
will revisit each of the major topics in additional detail.
It is intended for programmers who are developing g
full DCE client/server Secure Core applications or
Encina Toolkit applications.
Fee: $800 per enrollee.
Date: 03/14/96
Length: 2 days

Programming with Encina [Hands-On]
Course No. HP50
This class provides a foundation for writing
transactional, client/server applications using the
Encina products. The class is comprised of three
modules. Offered as a five day program, the three
modules are Programming with Encina Monitor, RQS
and PPC Services.
Fee: $500 per enrollee per day.
Date: 03/18/96
Length: 5 days

DCE Secure Core System Administration
Course No. LA30
Learn the functionality of each DCE Secure Code
component and the interaction among these
components. This class also addresses administrative
tasks such as backup and restore, cell configuration,
and security and introduces many of the new DCE 1.1
features.
Fee: $1,600 per enrollee.
Date: 03/26/96

AFS System Administration
Course No. LA20
This course prepares students to plan, install, manage
and recover the distributed file system, AFS. This class
covers terms and concepts for effective AFS
administration including planning for growth and end
user training needs, and troubleshooting. System
administration tasks taught include managing client
machines and volumes, account creation and  the AFS
backup system.
Fee: $1,600 per enrollee.

DFS System Administration
Course No. LA40
This class teaches the functionality of DFS and the
different components that comprise the distributed file
system. This class focuses on tasks a system
administration will need to perform, including the
administration of filesets, client and server machines,
backup and restore, and DFS account administration.
Fee: $1,000 per enrollee.
Date: 04/01/96
Length: 2 days

Encina Monitor System Administration
Course No. LA50
Through the use of a basic Monitor application,
students gain an understanding of the Encina Monitor
environment as a whole, and how each DCE and
Encina component is used. Students will also acquire
an understanding of essential configuration and
management tasks associated with the Encina Monitor
and the Recoverable Queuing Services.
Fee: $1,000 per  enrollee.
