All:

Transarc is changing the IP addresses of two of their AFS database
servers machines this weekend. This requires a change to our CellServDB
entries.

If you have the transarc.com cell in your CellServDB file on your
clients, you will need to change the information. The IP addresses
will be changed on Saturday, 6/13. The transarc.com cell will be
unavailable for a large part of the day while this change is being
made.

The new CellServDB entry will be:

>transarc.com #Transarc Corporation
158.98.3.3 #bigbird.transarc.com
158.98.3.2 #ernie.transarc.com
192.55.207.52 #oscar.transarc.com

Please make these changes in your CellServDB files on all clients after
6/13/92. If you don't make these changes, you will see delays in
accessing files in the transarc.com cell, while the cache manager
times out trying to talk to the old IP addresses for bigbird and ernie.

After doing this, either issue an "fs newcell" command on all clients,
specifying the transarc.com cell and the database server names, or
reboot the clients. Rebooting the clients will assure that all data
structures using the old IP addresses are removed, thus freeing up
unused memory. But an "fs newcell" is sufficient to have the client
recognize the new IP addresses for Transarc's database servers.

fs newcell transarc.com bigbird.transarc.com ernie.transarc.com oscar.transarc.com
