All:

Transarc is changing the IP address of one of their AFS database
server machines next week. This requires a change to our CellServDB
entry.

If you have the transarc.com cell in your CellServDB file on your
clients, you will need to change the information. The IP address will
be changed on Monday 8/23 (~ 6:00AM to 7:00 AM EST). The transarc.com
cell will be unavailable while this change is being made. The
CellServDB entry for oscar.transarc.com is changing from 192.55.207.52
to 158.98.14.3.

The CellServDB entries for transarc.com will be:

>transarc.com #Transarc Corporation
158.98.3.3 #bigbird.transarc.com
158.98.3.2 #ernie.transarc.com
158.98.14.3 #oscar.transarc.com

Please make this change in your CellServDB file on all clients after
8/23/93. If you don't make these changes, you could see delays in
accessing files in the transarc.com cell, while the cache manager
times out trying to talk to the old IP address for oscar.

After doing this, either issue an "fs newcell" command on all clients,
specifying the transarc.com cell and the database server names, or
reboot the clients. Rebooting the clients will assure that all data
structures using the old IP addresses are removed, thus freeing up
unused memory. But an "fs newcell" is sufficient to have the client
recognize the new IP address for Transarc's database servers.
