If @cartouche is the only problem, you can throw it away, and do
without the nice boxes that it puts around examples. The version of
texinfo.tex that I am using is version 2.53, from texinfo package
version 2.10. This version can be picked up from ftp.maths.tcd.ie in
/src/gnu/texinfo-2.10; if you want the whole package, just type get
texinfo-2.10.tar.Z in /src/gnu. Newer versions are available from
primary GNU sites.
