I don't have a general solution, but for the info databases, I just
created the appropriate sym-links in advance and then used restore
to extract the subdirectories of En_US.
If you're willing to spend some time, you can always get around
installp by restoring liblpp.a, using "ar" to extract the contents
and them hacking away at the "instal" script. This is obviously
not the road to a high-quality robust system.
