My friends over in installp-land say to try this:

>If at least 1 meg is free in /usr and .1 meg free in /tmp, and -X
>is NOT specified, we just warn the user that he may not have
>enough space to continue.  Currently if -X is specified and we
>calculate that we don't have enough space, we halt.
