PLEASE PARTICIPATE IN THE SURVEY: AFS AS A WIDE-AREA FILE SYSTEM

Dear Member of the AFS Community:
During the past several years, Transarc has been conducting a study of
AFS as a wide-area file system. The goal of the study, sponsored by
ARPA, is to examine the performance of the network and the
protocols chosen to implement the file system, as well as usage
patterns and management issues associated with the creation and
maintenance of a wide-area file system.
Part of the study is a survey intended to gather information
>From the user's point of view. It contains questions addressing
perceptions on such topics as the AFS feature set, the kinds of
applications to which AFS is being applied, and the level of interaction
between people at different AFS sites. You are invited to
supplement these questions with additional comments if you desire.
