We are running AFS 3.2 with RS/6000 servers. Last week we had an AFS
partition fill up rather abruptly when a user created a 500MB file. As a
result, all Read/Write volumes on that partition went offline, salvage did
not
work until a Backup volume was removed to make space, and some volumes were
still inaccessible from certain client machines until we ran 'vos syncvldb'
and
'vos syncserv'.
Do AFS partitions usually fill up this gracefully, or did we run into
something that could be avoided? Or is it a bug?
