We've been bitten by the same kind of thing many times, and would like to
see a mechanism put in place so we can find out about potential problems
before they get us.
I would spend effort to pore through and interpret fix reports if they were
available. Although I'd *like* a slick mechanism with fully digested and
cross-referenced bug and fix reports, I'd be happy with much less (such as
a simple dump of all the fix descriptions...).
