There has been some discussion recently about the ADM utility for
controlling a partial 'devolution' of administrative authority on
a large AFS system. I have been trying to compile this utility
on my HP 9000/700 system running HP-UX 9.01 with AFS 3.2b. After
making various small changes and adjustments I can compile everything,
but when I try to link it, the linker cannot find des_ecb_encrypt.
This routine is called by the code in kautils.o, which is found in
/usr/afsws/lib/afs/libkauth.a, and it must be resolved from elsewhere.
Unfortunately, the only 'elsewhere' is des_x.o in /usr/afsws/lib/libdes.a,
where this routine is a static entry point, and thus cannot be called
>From outside this binary.
