Hello all AFS experts
Does anybody know if there exists a lock-daemon that can handle fcntl-
lock requests correctly on an AFS-NFS translator (locking the file in AFS)?
The "standard" lock daemon works for all locks made to AFS files from NFS
clients only. Locks on AFS files made on the translator machine or on another
AFS client work for "pure" AFS file-access only.
The solution to this problem seems to be a lock daemon that knowns about
AFS and propagtes lock/unlock requests, made by an NFS client, to AFS.
I would also like to know if anyone knows about such a lock-daemon or other
schems for locking files through an AFS-NFS translator (except for the "good
old lockfiles" that is).
