Right now I am running a LOT of 486's under the dos/windows enviroment
and need a virtual disk drive from afs to present to windows.
What I have:
FTP Soft PCTCP 2.2 (works fine, ftp, tn, etc. all work)
AFS 3.x (works fine)
Windows 3.1, DOS 6.0 (both work fine)
PCServer (on Sun Clients or DECStations) via SNAP/PCVENUS/Login (created
at CMU around 1986) {Works fine under DOS. In Windows: the files
are not seen. The virtual-afs-drive comes up, I can copy files to the
virtual-afs-drive, but can not see them).
Can anyone suggest a good product or software for virtual afs drives under
windows? (An afsd for Windows would be great!)
I have heard about the following:
OSF/DFS Clients for 486's (I do not have a OSF/DFS Server)
PCNFS to an NFS-AFS translator (sounds buggy, slow and complicated...is it?)
OS2/2 afsd for OS2/2.x (we do not support OS2/2.x)
Suggestions? Pointers? Flames?
