Both of my Sun servers running SunOS 4.1.3 and the AFS/NFS translator
have been crashing frequently with the following error:
vmunix: panic: vn_rele
The 2 servers are running different AFS distributions (sun4 and sun4m).
The NFS clients to these servers are SGIs, running IRIX 5.1 (for which there
is no beta AFS 3.3).
Has anyone seen and solved this problem? Perhaps there is a patch from Sun
that I need to apply. Any information is appreciated.
What machines are sites using successfully as AFS/NFS translators?
I could move the translator to a HP 750 running HP-UX 9.01 or
an RS/6000 running AIX 3.2.3.
