Thanks for all the responses. We have decided to move the data that is
accessed during the builds thru the translator machine back to NFS. We
plan to buy the Sun and HP binaries and make them true AFS clients. Then
we can move the translator to the Sun platform, which comes more highly
recommended than the AIX platform, for use on our SGI and DEC machines.
I just wish I had posted here BEFORE we tried this!
