I've been having problems getting large files read on AFS 3.3/AIX 3.2.4. Before I start digging, I'd like to know how many other have had similar problems. I notice that the transmission seems `motivated' somewhat by collisions, and that the problem occurs through the cache manager. I'm wondering about differenenes in (afs_osinet.c) the rx-cm packet delivery code.... Using the AFS sniffer, I've noticed that we see rx aborting the connection, AT THAT SAME TIME, I notice collisions, and although netstat won't show 'em, errpt does. If anyone else is having troubles, could you check your errpt logs to see if they have also seen collions near the time when the rx connection aborts? mts.
