For [EMAIL PROTECTED] & Joe Ramus, and anyone else who was
interested in the UM performance/monitoring tools I mentioned.
They're in
/afs/umich.edu/group/itd/ftp/sysadm/perfmon
Read the 'README' file first. Rtime & upoll should be
"trivial". Bigbro will keep even a competent C programmer
busy for a while. Good luck.
Joe Ramus asked regarding AFS 3.3. No, we don't use AFS 3.3
yet (at least not on the DB servers - some of the clients
may already be moving to 3.3.) These tools should work
fine with AFS 3.3 - although from messages here on info-afs,
it sounds like it will be necessary to muck with the library list
to make them link.
It would make sense for rtime.tar to be out in grand.central.org
(I should figure out how that works someday...). bigbro
is probably not useful there in its present form.
