Well, other people are also hiding behind firewalls. Our Mosaic is
'socksified' and goes through our SOCKS gateway for all TCP protocols,
i.e. http, gopher, ftp, telnet, tn3270 ... How would you access a
file://localhost/afs/transarc.com/ URL through such a gateway? On the
other hand, I have an outside machine with /afs/transarc.com mounted,
but I cannot run Mosaic on it because X doesn't work through the
gateway, either.
Just move transarc.com to the IBM network like advantis.com :-)
