1K chunks * 10000 chunks means a 10 meg cache. at home? isn't that too small?
here's how i start afs:
/usr/afs/etc/afsd -nosettime -blocks 50000 -files 9000 -num_vslots 18000 \
-logfile /usr/adm/DClog -replaylog /usr/adm/RPlog
i'm running a 50 meg cache. i cold-cached eight days ago; my cache is pretty
hot at this point, using 15 megs.
on our laptops, we typically run -chunksize 20. the thinking is that the only
files we encounter larger than a chunk are x binaries, and you'd hate to not
have the chunk you need when you need it ...
