The fileserver knew about you, not your machine ... anytime you add yourself to an ACL, you must re-klog to be recognized. This is why fo rIP add. you have to restart the fileserver ... it is not like the machine can klog for itself ... If you just added your machine (and not yourself) I would imagine that the fileserver would not recognize your machine ... (unless you took the necessary steps) -dej
