This problem was extensively discussed with the NextStep file browser, and
I fear the answer in this case is the same: Since it is obviously a silly
thing to do, slowing down a machine so as to become unuseable, don't do it.
With ghostview you are in the singularly advantageous position of having
access to the source code, so you can actually fix it yourself...
