Already underway. As of last weekend, we have a design for some backward
compatible protocol enhancements that will allow rxkad to support new
authentication and encryption mechanisms, including negotiating the best
mechanism available to both sides. I have a partial implementation; in
another week or two I hope to have support for the original krb4-fcrypt
mechanism plus krb4-des and something krb5 based.
