We used to have some 5000 users and had to do restores from backups
several times a week, at least.  Now we are down to about 1500, and
the restores have dropped dramatically in number, especially as we
have a much larger percentage of more experienced users instead of
undergraduates.  So I have no doubt people's mileage varies widely.
