I did import the project by hand "cvs import -d -m "bla bla bla " ......
It did work fine. Just out of curiosity, how would I specify -d to WinCVS ?

The client/server problem you mention, is actually noted  in Karl Fogel's book. (Page 
170 in the "free" version)

I'm using a local repository. So no problem.
