Whether I like it or not was not an object of contention.
You want "cvs add" to work in a way that no other cvs command works. That's
not necessarily a bad thing.
You say that it must work in this way to be consistent with the cvs user
interface, to be consistent with all other cvs commands. That's absurd.
I hope that by saying you give up, you're conceding that you do want to make
"cvs add" work in a way that no other cvs command works, and that this would
make it less, rather than more consistent with the cvs user interface. This
is practically a tautology, but it is all I have tried to say in my last few
posts in this thread.
