Q1: If one does not use modules, are there any undesirable side affects? Can I "convert" to using modules, and if so what are the "benefits". (The down side with modules, is that they require maintenance by the administrator, or at least this is my belief.) Background: I'm using 1.9.25, and wrap all the cvs commands in Perl, with an Oracle historical database. The system has been up for 2 years, in a 150 user environment, on Windows, Unix (Aix/Solaris/HP-UX), and there are problems with merges from one branch to another, and/or updates when new directories are added. Q2: Will all my problems be resolved if I move to the latest-and-greatest version of CVS?
