This seems to be a common question lately. You are apparently using Linux
and this OS sets the $HOME environment variable for processes spawned by
inetd. If you search the archives for this list you should find some
suggestions as to how to deal with the problem.
Should this question be added to the Faq-o-matic and/or manuals?
