Hi Greg,
>You're in the wrong universe. There are no such APIs here.
Not true. Even official CVS code has the unfinished interface in it...
Look at the \Windows-NT\SCC directory, it is there! Greg, wake up now, or
you will wake up too late...
Hi Richard,

I am making my own effort instead, since I do not want to go thru the hassle
of NDA with M$. Besides, after all these years ( 1998/07/16
Created, 2000/02/06 Added "change of tactics" and pulled downloadables.
Looks almost like it is regressing? ) I see the job with SCC insterface is
not yet finished on the SCC interface, so I do not think it is the way in
the end. It seems to be more complex than it looks at first. Instead, I am
going to integrate CVS with VC++ IDE in a different way. I am making now an
Visual C++ addin, which will cooperate with WndTabs thru AIC library. That
approach is more easy, because no need to worry about the NDA stuff. It is
also more easy to implement. Unfortunatelly, that means that it will not
work with Visual Basic and other tools - it will only work in Visual C++
environment. But, I believe I will have something that actually works withun
few weeks - AIC needs some extensions to support it. The good news is that
this way will allow to have two or more version control at the same time -
which is important during migration from VSS to CVS. SCC API would kick off
the VSS, which is not always the way. I will talk on this topic later on,
when I am ready...
Hi Alex,
>I'd like to say that this sort of discussion discourage both Richard,
>me, Jerzy, Greg and everybody who is welling to spread cvs.
Don't pay too much attension to what Greg says when he gets "emotional". It
seems to be his "specific" style. He is from time to time saying something
interesting and correct, the trick is to filter it out of the 'noise'...
Alex, you did the really great job with WinCVS! Inspite of what Greg says,
please continue, do not EVER think to stop!
BR,
Jerzy
The first thing they don't teach you at school: "Never say never".
