Please use regular slashes in CVSROOT instead of backwards slashes --
either is acceptable to NT but backward slashes will confuse CVS.

The ,<filename>, file is where commit writes the new RCS file.  Once
it's been successfully written, CVS renames it to <filename>,v to
replace the old RCS file.
