Hello,

We have a CVS repository which is kept on a Unix machine. I have been attempting to
use CVS on my NT. The binary files in the repository have had the -kb tag turned on
by using 'cvs admin -kb foo.gif'. However, after a release we tag the branch. This
has the effect of removing the -kb tags from all those binary files. While this does
not cause a problem on Unix, the NT checkout shows all the binary files as being
modified. If we go back and retag the files with -kb, all the maintenance branches
will now appear to have modified files.

Is this a known problem? I have searched through the documentation and have not seen
any reference to tagging a branch causing the removal of -kb tags. This problem is
preventing us from being able to reliably switch to using CVS on NT. Any help or
advice you have would be welcome.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Terry
