[plug] surely, nserver supports this scenario (file-system ACLs are
good).  Just authenticate with /usr/bin/checkpassword or
/usr/bin/checkpassword-pam. [/plug] This way CVSUSER will match the
system user name.

Just when you are Sourceforge and want to host several hundreds
repositories with several thousands developers -- you would't want to
give them all system ids, just like when you host free e-mail service
with millions of users.
