I think I've been able to use CygWin's port of OpenSSH (including ssh-agent)
quite effectively. Try looking through http://www.openssh.com and
http://sources.redhat.com/cygwin/ and get rid of some your ignorance :-)

Right, which apparently doesn't? does? (certainly doesn't for me) work
for Windows, because someone hasn't effectively ported it or something.
It's all rather confusing, and I don't like Windows anyhow. :-) Is
there a good place I can go to read up on how to use ssh in general?
Everything I've ever seen is piecemeal, i.e. assumes that I already know
what ssh-agent is or what it's good for. :-) Unfortunately I'm deeply,
profoundly ignorant. :-)
Cheers,
Laird
