Hi

I am relatively new to using cvs and setting it up. I followed the docs
on the cvshome.org website and have the cvs setup and working. THe only
thing is that when I checkout a tree from the cvs repository all the files
permissions are read only and yet I have read/write access to the files.
If I manually change the permissions then I can edit the files and commit
them back.

The questions is could this be a config option I left out or maybe
something to do with the permissions on the cvsroot directory. At the
moment the directory is owned by cvs.cvs and the permissions 770 Is this
ok? I set myself as a member of this group thus being able to access the
files.

Thanks any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheer
Sean
