Be weary when sharing files over samba/nfs/etc. Don't checkout to a
non-windows filesystem from windows. Crossing platforms that way can
FUBAR your repository. (Don't cross the streams! Why? It would be bad.)
See the archives of this list for details.

Note: It *is* OK to run all the cvs commands on the Solaris side while
editing over the samba share on the windows side, or to keep everything
local to either platform (co, edit, ci). I do this with Solaris/NFS/Win.

No, the problem seems to be in the networking code (specifically samba
et. al). See the archives.
