Brilliant, that was what I needed. I remembered there was something like it
(maybe even in 1.9?), but the CVS manual does not explain it under the
'Administrative Files' heading, but under the ``CVSROOT storage'' node.
An @xref{bla} in ``Administrative Files'' to CVSROOT storage would be useful.
