(0) Basic: the whole point of computers is to reduce the need for advance planning. (That's an epiphany I had while talking to a Prologger a while back. I'm sure you don't agree.) (1) For many of my projects, I don't have control over the initial file structure. A legacy code base was inherited, imported into CVS, and then worked on.
