It looks like it is going to do exactly what I need. I'm surprised I didn't find it on freshmeat myself when I looked. Here's the link to the home page: http://www.volny.cz/v.slavik/lt/cvsq.html It says that if there are conflicts those changes will be kept in the queue. (for manual resolution I assume).
