After reading Chuck Petersen's, of EPIX, reply to you, I would like to add
that if an intensified, gated CCD camera is something which you might want
to consider, then I would like to suggest the Stanford Computer Optics,
Inc., 4 Quik 05A series of gated, intensified CCD cameras. These cameras
are superior to the Xybion cameras, do not need an additional control unit
to operate them whch Xybion cameras require and, in general, cost less than
Xybion.
A gated, intensified camera will definitely do what you want. In such case
you would not need a strobe. The SCO gated cameras have a multiple
exposure feature which can trap a series of high speed events on a single
frame, actually up to 200,000 per sec. continuously or 2 Million per sec.
in bursts.
