Shawn-
We have an older version of Accelerated products, but on an XP
machine we install the programs in the "C:\Program Files\ACCMATH"
folder, instead of "C:\ACCMATH" so we do not have to modify folder
permissions. All member on the domain are member of the local "Power
Users" group on the machine.
Hope that helps.
Jeremy

Subject: [info-tech] Accelerated Reader with Windows XP
When running AR on an XP machine as a student accelerated reader can't
find
the data location, continuous looping while looking for the location.
As
the local administrator AR finds its data location without a problem.
Obviously a permissions issue. I have tried everything I can think of
short
of giving students full rights to the machine without much help. Has
anyone
solved the same/similar problem?
