We still have the cart in our rooms but we have them off to the side. The carts house vcr/dvd player, speakers, etc. The projectors are then mounted in the ceiling and we run one cable back to the cart. Seems to work well for what we are doing.
If cost is a problem, I have bought a lot of ceiling mounts from this person: http://stores.ebay.com/Mighty-Mounts-and-a-Whole-Lot-More Fairly cheap, and seem to work pretty well, we just take out the ceiling panel and I put in a 3/8" panel that we mount to. My biggest cost is the cable to run back to the computer and running power to that location. I am not cheap, just thrifty :) Thanks! Jon W. Hueser- MSE, Ed. It's one of the biggies on my list of needs for next year. I'd be interested if there are reasons not to. It seems necessary in today's classrooms. Sarah Sarah M.
