File naming between M$ Windows and *nix system has always been messy. Without 
help from users, assuming that programs (and programmers)  specially on the 
Windows side don’t give a shit.

Or stick to Exchange. That’s the only piece of crap that Outlook works fine 
with. Typical M$.

As I said, ditch IMAP. 

Some of my “users” that have company requirements to use Outlook accepted that 
they need to have a real mail client to use IMAP and accepted that they need to 
use 2 applications.
