Hi Quoting "chittaranjan.nayak via Info" <[email protected]>:
I have two separate disk. fast disk for default mailbox and slow disk for archive. defaultpartition: main partition-main: /var/spool/cyrus partition-slow: /var/spool/cyrusarchive/slow archive_enabled: yes archivepartition-main: /var/spool/cyrusarchive/slow The problem is that when I archived the oldest mails todifferent partition using cyr_expire (/usr/lib/cyrus/bin/cyr_expire -A 7d) it is working and oldest mails are moving to slow partition.Bu still primary mailbox quota are not reducing. Is it correct process or any other process need to follow? please guide....
AFAIK there is no quota reduction for mails transferred to the archive partition.
You could create archive folders for your users on the "slow" partition, or transfer them
with "renamemailbox" and set a quota_root for that folder. https://www.cyrusimap.org/imap/reference/admin/quotas/quotaroots.html e.g. in cyradm createmailbox --partition slow user/exampleuser/archive setquota user/exampleuser/archive STORAGE 10240000 I have not tested if a value of "0" would work als "unlimited"But I would not recommend "unlimited" quota as one client could fill up your disk by accident
This alternative has a drawback. There is no automatic transfer of old mails to this folder by cyrus.
The user / imap-client has to move them Michael -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Menge Tel.: (49) 7071 / 29-70316 Universität Tübingen Fax.: (49) 7071 / 29-5912Zentrum für Datenverarbeitung mail: [email protected]
