cyradm --user johndoe --authz cyrus
The authz option is not listed in the cyradm manpage of 3.10.2 in Debian.
You are right, to my knowledge the only util which can use this
mechanism and is coming with cyrus is imtest :
Thanks to Alex I double check.
The option is here, and is in the manpage of Cyrus::IMAP::Shell.
NAME
Cyrus::IMAP::Shell - Perl version of cyradm
SYNOPSIS
$ cyradm [--user authid] [--authz authzid] [--[no]rc]
[--systemrc file] [--userrc file] \
> [--port n] [--auth mechanism] [--server] server
And in cyradm --help
Usage: cyradm [args] server
--user <user> Connect as <user> (authentication name)
--authz <user> Authorize as <user>
But not in the manpage of cyradm and not in the help command of cyradm.
And my test yesterday, before using man and help, failed for another reason.
So, cyradm --authz $user --user $admin works fine.
