I lost your original post but as I recall, a few of the files you listed
were temporary "holding" type files. They may not have been scanned
since they were empty.

Also, to see a full list of what is running on your machine go to:

start->programs->accessories->system tools->system information->software
environment; then, look at running tasks,  startup programs and system
hooks. This will give you a better picture of what is going on in your
system right at the moment, This report will alter as per what you have
open. (If you do not have this utility installed on your system, install
it from your win98 CD)
