A friend recently installed a network in my
computer to connect my husband's computer to mine using software. That evening,
I received a message from InoculateIT that I had a worm. It deleted the
infected files. InoculateIT also started spitting out VBS script messages and
deleting files. Soon I could no longer get a clean registry. I now have to
reformat.
I also discovered that the network software used VBS scripts. I also had that VBS script killer program and am wondering if: 1. Did I really have a worm?
2. Is it possible the scripting caused InoculateIT to delete the good scripts? 3. Can I pass a worm in email. I sent some email out and never thought it might be infected. Using another computer I discovered nobody had contracted the virus. I am now using my husbands computer until I can
reformat. Any help will be appreciated.
