Hello Jeannie,  Sounds like processor overheating.  Did he put in a new
fan or make sure the processor fan is running?  Also check the size of
the new power supply.  If the processor is of the newer faster types the
power supply may not be high enough capacity. At least 300 watt (400 is
better)depending on how many devices and drives are inside.
